Choose between downtown or international departure-area duty-free shops for travel abroad and designated duty-free shops for travel from Jeju to another destination in Korea. Foreign nationals can also use JDC·JTO designated duty-free shops, but the shopping and collection process differs from that at international departure-area shops. Check your passport and departure details, then confirm whether you are eligible to shop and where to collect your purchases.
Choose a duty-free shop for your route
Use downtown or international departure-area duty-free shops when traveling abroad, and JDC·JTO designated duty-free shops when traveling from Jeju to another destination in Korea. Foreign nationals are also eligible to use designated shops, provided they meet the departure, identification, purchase limit, and collection requirements.
Locations and purchase collection
Designated duty-free shops operate at Jeju Airport, Jeju Port, Jungmun, and Seongsanpo Port. The shop and collection point may be different. Have your passport, departure date, and flight or sailing number ready, and check the exact airport or port collection point and required documents. If your departure service changes, ask the duty-free shop about the change procedure.
Purchase limits and tax refunds
The spending limits, number of permitted purchases, and product restrictions at designated duty-free shops are separate from your destination country's duty-free import allowance. Purchases made at duty-free prices are not also eligible for the tax refunds offered at regular retail shops.
