Privacy Policy

1. Personal data processed

For enquiries, quotes and bookings, we may process your name, telephone number, email, messenger type and ID, group size, travel dates, pickup and drop-off locations, itinerary, accommodation, and flight or ferry information. Optional messenger QR images, booking/payment identifiers and cancellation/refund evidence are processed when needed for the relevant task. Jetopia does not collect card numbers or payment passwords.

2. Purposes

We use this information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, handle booking requests, provide itinerary and vehicle information, process payments, cancellations and refunds, handle customer enquiries and protect the service. When you use the Jetopia app in ChatGPT, information entered in conversations or tools may be sent for the app call. OpenAI’s separate privacy policy governs ChatGPT’s processing.

3. Retention and deletion

Booking and contact information is retained for 1 year after the trip ends and then deleted. Contract, payment and other records requiring longer statutory retention are stored separately for the legally required period and then deleted. Information needed for an ongoing dispute or refund may be retained until that matter is resolved.

4. Processors and recipients

PortOne (Korea PortOne Co., Ltd.): payment requests, approvals, cancellations and settlement. KG Inicis: card processing, approval and cancellation through PortOne. PayPal, Inc.: payment, approval and refund if selected. Solapi: recipient numbers and message content needed for booking/payment SMS notices. OpenAI: ChatGPT conversations and app inputs. Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2 used by OpenAI Sites: storage and processing of booking/enquiry data and service files. Eximbay is currently disabled in the payment code and receives no personal data; processing fields and countries will be updated before it is connected.

5. Overseas processing and transfers

Information may be processed outside the Republic of Korea through OpenAI, PayPal and Cloudflare. PayPal may transfer information to other countries to provide its service. Cloudflare D1 automatically selects its default location at creation. This project does not restrict storage to a specific country, and the actual storage country cannot currently be identified. Countries and transfer details will be updated after the operator checks the hosting settings. Payment providers receive only information needed for the selected payment method.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing by telephone or messenger. Provide your name, a reply method and request details. We may request minimal information to verify your identity. If statutory retention or an ongoing dispute prevents immediate deletion, we explain the reason and retention period.

Jetopia Membership Terms and Personal Information Processing Notice (Member Services)

Effective date: November 2, 2026 / Version: member-1.0

1. Operator

Jetopia (제토피아) · Representative: Baek Jin-ho (백진호) · 54-2 Yeonsa-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (제주특별자치도 제주시 연사길 54-2)

Personal Information Protection Officer: Baek Jin-ho (백진호) · Contact: bjh7535@naver.com / 010-4009-7535

This notice applies to membership registration, login, and storage of World exploration records. For reservations, consultations, payments, and site usage analytics, please also consult the Privacy Policy at the bottom of the site.

2. Member Services

  • You can register and log in using a Google, Kakao, or LINE account.
  • Members can save their Jetopia World exploration records (badges and outfits) to their account and continue viewing them on another device.
  • Reservations and consultations are available without registering as a member. Registration alone does not provide financial benefits.
  • Children under 14 years of age cannot register as members.

3. Personal Information We Process

  • The unique identifier sent by the login provider
  • The email address verified by the provider (only if the provider sends it)
  • Records of agreement to the terms (version and time), marketing communication preference (not selected by default)
  • Selected site language, exploration records (badges and outfits), member authentication session information

We do not store passwords or social account access or refresh tokens. We do not collect card numbers or security codes through member services.

4. Purposes of Use

We use this information for member identification and login, storage of exploration records, account security (prevention of unauthorized logins and forged requests), and responding to inquiries. We send marketing information only to people who have separately consented.

Agreement to the membership terms is required, while consent to receive marketing communications is a separate, optional choice. Marketing communications are not selected by default, and you may use member services without consenting.

5. Retention Periods

We retain member information for the duration of the provision of member services. Upon membership withdrawal, we delete it without delay, except for the minimal separately retained records in Section 10 and records that must be retained by law. Member authentication sessions are deleted immediately upon withdrawal.

If records actually arise that are subject to retention obligations under e-commerce legislation, we retain them separately for the following periods.

  • Records of contracts and withdrawal from contracts: 5 years
  • Records of payments and supply of goods: 5 years
  • Records of consumer complaints and dispute resolution: 3 years

Retention periods for reservation and consultation materials follow the separate Privacy Policy. Withdrawing from membership alone does not delete transaction records subject to statutory retention.

We do not merge accounts or link reservations solely because the email address is the same. Existing reservations are linked after a reservation verification process.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not disclose member information for third parties' independent purposes, except where separate consent has been obtained or there is a legal basis. Storage outsourcing necessary to operate the service and social login chosen by the user are explained in Section 7 below.

7. Outsourced Processing and Overseas Transfers

Jetopia uses the servers of the following company to store member information securely (outsourced storage).

  • OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States): ChatGPT Sites site operation, server provision, and storage of member information. It uses the cloud of its subprocessor, Cloudflare, Inc. (United States).

Jetopia remains responsible for managing member information, and the service providers do not use it for purposes other than storage.

  • Countries of storage and processing: Countries where data centers operated by OpenAI and Cloudflare are located (including the United States). The platform does not disclose the storage country for each site, so we cannot specify a particular country; we will update this when confirmed.
  • Backup retention: Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — Member information backups are retained for 30 days in private storage under Jetopia's account.
  • Items transferred: Member information in Section 3 and the minimal separately retained records in Section 10
  • Timing and method of transfer: Transferred and processed through encrypted communications during registration, login, and use of member features
  • Purposes of use: Site operation, member authentication, storage of exploration records, and account security
  • Retention periods: The periods in Sections 5 and 10
  • Inquiries and requests to suspend processing regarding overseas transfers: Jetopia's contact details in Section 1

If you do not want overseas transfers, you may choose not to register or request membership withdrawal. In that case, it will be difficult to use member authentication and exploration record storage features. Reservations and consultations are available to non-members, but non-member services may also use the same hosting infrastructure, so this does not exclude all overseas processing.

We use the authentication service of the provider you select from Google, Kakao, and LINE. During authentication, authentication requests and related information are sent to the provider, and Jetopia receives a verified identifier and, if provided, a verified email address. We do not send exploration records to social login providers. Each provider's processing of its own account information follows that provider's Privacy Policy.

We do not send information to text message service providers solely because you register, log in, or save exploration records. Separate text message verification or reservation notifications are governed by the personal information notice for the relevant feature.

8. Cookies

We use security cookies to keep you logged in and prevent forged requests. You can disable them in your browser settings, but you may then be unable to log in.

Site usage analytics follow the Privacy Policy at the bottom of the site and the cookie settings. If analytics are enabled, visit information from member screens may also be processed. Analytics cookie settings and consent to receive marketing communications are separate.

9. User Rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your information, or withdraw from membership, at any time.

You can withdraw through 'Withdraw from membership' on the account screen after verifying your identity and reviewing what will be deleted. You may also request withdrawal using the contact details in Section 1; we will process it without delay after the minimum necessary identity verification.

You can also disconnect your login provider in the settings of each provider (Google, Kakao, or LINE).

10. Membership Withdrawal and Minimal Record Retention

Upon withdrawal, we immediately delete member authentication sessions and deactivate the account. We delete the email address, original social login identifier, account badges, outfits and completed exploration records, selected language, and general membership consent records, and deselect marketing communications.

After withdrawal, only the following records are retained separately for their respective purposes and periods.

10. Membership Withdrawal and Minimal Record Retention
CategoryItems retainedPeriod and purpose
Re-registration verification recordsA hash combining the social login identifier and provider type, internal member number, deletion deadline30 days after withdrawal. These are minimal records for distinguishing repeated registrations and verifying existing transaction relationships; the original identifier, email address, and exploration records are not retained.
Withdrawal processing recordsInternal member number, processing number, applicable policy version, withdrawal time, deletion deadline30 days after withdrawal. Retained to verify withdrawal processing and prevent reuse of old authentication requests.
Inactive member rowInternal member number, inactive status, registration and withdrawal timesDeleted 30 days after withdrawal if there are no reservation or payment records. If related records exist, deleted after the retention period for those transaction records ends. If multiple records are linked, deleted after all applicable retention periods end.
Records subject to statutory retentionRecords of contracts, withdrawal from contracts, payments, supply, consumer complaints, and dispute resolution that actually occurredRetained separately for the periods in Section 5 and deleted after those periods end.

Records whose retention deadlines have passed are designated for automatic cleanup. Separately retained records are used only for their respective retention purposes.

Re-registering requires new login authentication and agreement to the terms. Exploration records from a deleted account are not automatically restored. World records stored separately in the browser are separate from account records and are not subject to automatic deletion.

Withdrawal from Jetopia does not mean deletion of your Google, Kakao, or LINE account itself or automatic disconnection from that provider.

11. Changes to the Terms

We announce changes on the site 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to members.

12. Inquiries and Disputes

Please use the contact details in Section 1. For reporting or consultation on personal information infringements, you may contact the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (118) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972).
