Jungmun Saekdal Beach
Full narration
Jungmun Saekdal Beach lies within the Jungmun Tourist Complex in Seogwipo. Look closely at the sand, and you’ll see a blend of four colors: black, white, red, and gray. Formed from the many kinds of rock found on the volcanic island of Jeju, the sand appears to change color with the sunlight and your viewing angle. With open sea to the south, waves roll in steadily, making this one of Korea’s best-known surfing spots. Sheer cliffs frame both sides of the beach, while resorts and hotels line the hill above. Take a moment to listen to the sound of the waves.
